Laudato Si’ Week

Laudato Si’ Week is an annual anniversary celebration of the “world-changing” encyclical letter of Pope Francis, Laudato Si’ – On Care for our Common Home signed by His Holiness on the 24th of May 2015. The annual celebration has been a way for Catholics worldwide to unite and participate in the progress that Laudato Si’ has been bringing to life and to Earth through further action and prayer.

Laudato Si’ serves as a blueprint for addressing the current climate crisis. In celebrating Laudato Si’ Week, Catholics all over the world are called to act and pray as one family in caring for Earth, our common home.

The celebration of Laudato Si’ Week is observed with a different theme every year. This year 2022, the theme of “Listening and Journeying Together” aims for Catholics in six continents to work on “bringing the human family together to protect our common home” (LS 13).
